Congresswoman Hartzler pays tribute to Americans who have served our country
Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-4) has issued the following Veterans Day statement:
“This Veterans Day, citizens of this great land pay tribute to our men in women in uniform who have given so much to keep us free. Since its origin as Armistice Day marking the end of World War One, November 11th has been a day for Americans to honor those who have served at home and abroad.
As the daughter of an Army Reservist, I learned the importance of this day early on in life. Now, as a member of the House Armed Services Committee, my respect and admiration for the defenders of our freedoms grow every day. We are blessed to live in the land of the free because of the many sacrifices made by the brave.
We honor the devotion of these brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces by saying “thank you” to them and to their families who have made and continue to make sacrifices of their own. As Americans, we owe our heroes a debt of gratitude we will never be able to repay.
May God bless our veterans and may God bless America.”
