Hartzler issues statement to mark Independence Day

Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-4) has issued the following statement to mark Independence Day:

“As we celebrate America’s birthday this Fourth of July with family, friends, food and fireworks, let us remember how blessed we are to live in this great nation. As Americans, we are proud to embrace the belief that ‘all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.’ And, as we celebrate the liberties we cherish, we must never forget to thank the brave men and women who have fought valiantly and died for the freedoms we enjoy. We pray for the safety of all those who serve and who continue to preserve our freedoms today.”

“God has truly blessed this land. Let us thank Him for the blessings He has bestowed upon us and renew ourselves to the enduring principles of faith, family and freedom.”

Congresswoman Hartzler, who represents Missouri’s Fourth Congressional District, serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Agriculture Committee.
