2016 Alzheimer’s Hope Forum

I would like to invite you to attend my 2016 Alzheimer’s Hope Forum. The event will take place on Thursday, November 10, from 10am – 3pm at Bothwell Regional Health Center’s Education Center, 601 E. 14th St., Sedalia, MO. This free, one-day forum serves as an opportunity for discussion on the state of Alzheimer’s research, methods of care for those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and what is being done to eradicate this serious disease.
Currently, over 5 million Americans suffer from Alzheimer’s disease. Every single day more than 10,000 baby boomers turn 65. As this great generation ages, one in eight will develop Alzheimer’s. According to a recent study in the New England Journal of Medicine, Alzheimer’s disease is now the costliest disease in America, outpacing cancer and heart disease, and set to increase like no other.
My family has personally experienced the difficulties of Alzheimer’s disease and I know many others in our district whose lives have been impacted by the challenges of this heartbreaking condition. That is one of the reasons I am committed to fighting this awful disease.
For more information about the event, please contact my office at 573-442-9311. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by Tuesday, November 8th to Mallory Fields at mfields@mail.house.gov or 202-225-2876.
Please feel free to share information about this event with anyone you know who might be interested. Thank you for your time and consideration, and we hope to see you at the event!
