Hartzler Statement on B-21 Basing Decision
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-04) released the following statement in response to the Air Force’s announcement that Whiteman Air Force Base has been chosen as the second Air Force base to host the B-21 Raider.
“I am thrilled that Whiteman Air Force Base has been chosen as the second Air Force base to host the B-21 Raider. Whiteman’s long standing stealth expertise will help lead the way into the future as the Air Force procures this advanced capability. I will continue to support the B-2 mission and its critical modernization programs as the Air Force continues development of the B-21 program. As the only nuclear stealth bomber in our bomber fleet, it is critical that the B-2 remain operational until the B-21 is ready for service. This is an exciting moment for the Whiteman community and I am delighted this important aircraft will call Missouri home.”
