Congresswoman Hartzler announces 2011 Congressional Art Competition
Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-4) is inviting high school students to be part of a wonderful opportunity to showcase their artistic talents. It’s the 2011 Congressional Art Competition – a chance for aspiring young artists from the 4th Congressional District to enter a contest that could see their artwork displayed at the U.S. Capitol in Washington.
“I am looking forward to seeing the work of our local students and to meeting the winner of the contest in Washington,” said Hartzler. “The winning entry will join other works of art from other congressional districts around the country and the winning artist will get free travel to and from Washington.”
“There are a lot of young artists in the 4th District,” added Hartzler. “This contest provides an excellent opportunity for these young people to showcase their talents.”
All framed entries and release forms must be delivered to Congresswoman Hartzler’s Jefferson City office by the close of business on April 26th. Information regarding competition guidelines is available by contacting Brandon Gibson in the 4th District Lebanon office at 417-532-5582.
Vicky Hartzler was elected to Congress on November 2, 2010. She serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Agriculture Committee.
